"To create a mystical place where one would be inspired to reach into oneself" was the intent of Lawrence Halprin when he designed the San Francisco Stern Grove out-door ampitheatre. Anna Halprin has gathered an exciting group of dancers to create a performance in this magnificent and unique environment. At Stern Grove, 19th Avenue & Sloat, San Francisco, CA.  Free.  Rasa Vitalia performs with the famous Anna Halprin and her dance group doing a ritualistic mask dance. Oscar winning composer, world music producer & artist Yuval Ron (oud) & international percussionist & educator Dror Sinai present a rare, intimate concert of Hebrew & Arabic songs from Israel, Yemen, Iraq, Bukhara, Morocco, Tunisia, & Andalusia.  Woven in between the songs are travel stories, kabalistic interpretations, Sufi poetry & personal anecdotes of the life & culture, out of which grow the fruit of Middle Eastern music. Rasa just applied for the Ethnic Dance Festival and is participating in the AUDITIONS! It is crucial that family and friends attend. Your support through wild, loud, exhilarating applause is encouraging to the dancer (that's me!) on stage. Please come early. Don't be late as the piece is a mere 5 minute solo. Please join her in prayers to have her audition with flying colors and participate in the Ethnic Dance Festival in June 2009!
